The partnership

Alex Fontana is an official «face» of the Clay Regazzoni Memorial Room
located in Lugano-Pregassona.
This ultra-modern structure built at the behest of the family houses a number of the cars with which Clay competed in the most important races, as well as the trophies he conquered on tracks and roads around the world, spectacular photographs, films and documentaries.
Regazzoni, forced to use a wheelchair from 1980 after an accident at the Long Beach circuit during the United States Grand Prix, conducted a personal battle to draw attention to paraplegia and raise funds for research and to finance treatment and rehabilitation centres. Moreover, as part of his social commitment, he made a concrete contribution to helping disabled people in life and sport, thanks also to an association he founded.

The partnership with Alex Fontana is helping keep alive the great Swiss champion’s desire to support research and development through the IRP foundation and the Club Clay Regazzoni Let’s Help Paraplegia.
The car Alex will be driving in the 2013 GP3 Series will carry the logo of the Clay Regazzoni Memorial Room with the aim of carrying this message around the circuits of the world and onto the Formula 1 stage that Clay raced for so many years.
